Basketball Recap: Ganado Hornets vs. Page Sand Devils
The Ganado Hornets entered their tilt with the Page Sand Devils with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Ganado managed a 55-51 win over the Sand Devils on Wednesday. For Ganado, this counts as revenge for the 66-53 defeat the Sand Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ganado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Billy, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Paddock, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, Page had strong showings from Tyree Stingley, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds, and Talon Herder, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Herder has scored all season. Jackson Smith was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Ganado's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Page, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Alchesay the next time they take the court. Ganado will head out to face the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Sand Devils will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
