Soccer Recap: Port Washington Find Success

While Port Washington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past the Appleton West Terrors 2-1. Given Port Washington's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Appleton West are ranked 41st) , the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Port Washington's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Appleton West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Port Washington will face off against Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Appleton West, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Waupun on the 6th.
