Volleyball Recap: Tupelo Wins Going Away Against Horn Lake

Tupelo won the last time they faced Horn Lake and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Wave were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Wave.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Tupelo was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-10.

Their offense was headlined by Kennedi Simmons and Kinslee Carter, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Lily Shettles and her six assists. Maria Casthilo controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Tupelo's victory bumped their record up to 21-13. As for Horn Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Tupelo and Horn Lake are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, the Golden Wave and Madison Central will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horn Lake, they will be playing at home against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
