Football Recap: Manny Rico's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Holbrook over Tuba City

Holbrook easily dispatched Many Farms last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Roadrunners fell just short of the Tuba City Warriors by a score of 20-18 on Friday. Despite 108 more yards than the Warriors, the Roadrunners couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Holbrook's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Manny Rico, who rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs. Simeon Shaw was another key pass catcher, picking up 150 receiving yards.

Holbrook's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Tuba City, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Holbrook has already played their next matchup, a 47-6 defeat against Pima on the 31st. As for Tuba City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-6 loss against Morenci on the 31st.
