Volleyball Recap: Bonneville Comes Up Short

Bonneville lost against Box Elder back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lakers fell 3-1 to the Bees. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bonneville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Bonneville still got an impressive performance from Jase Musgrave, who had 37 assists and three digs. Musgrave has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last six times he's played.

Tyce Johnston went supernova For Box Elder., getting 19 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Johnston has posted since back in March.

Bonneville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Box Elder, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Bonneville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bountiful on the 15th. As for Box Elder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Bear River on the 11th.
