Baseball Recap: McFarland Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when McFarland duked it out with Wasco on Thursday. McFarland lost 14-4 to Wasco. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 last Wednesday.

McFarland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cris Soto, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for McFarland and nudges their season record down to 3-2-1. As for Wasco, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

McFarland will square off against Shafter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wasco, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Bishop Union on the 21st.
