Football Recap: Sacramento Drops Highest Score of Season Against Wood

Sacramento scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 29-14 bruising from the Wood Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 20-18 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Sacramento didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Ja'Niah Dossman led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Sacramento's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Wood, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Sacramento is taking a road trip to face off against River City at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wood, they will take on Lincoln in a tournament on Saturday.
