Softball Recap: Stephenville FAITH Has No Trouble Against Lubbock T

Stephenville FAITH saw some tournament action on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lubbock T Titans with a sharp 23-6 victory. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Charlee Frazier was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Frazier was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Carly Popp was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Bedwell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Stephenville FAITH lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Stephenville FAITH's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.7 runs over those games. As for Lubbock T, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

Stephenville FAITH wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-13 tie against New Braunfels Thunder on the 24th. As for Lubbock T, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-12 defeat against BVCHEA HomeSchool on the 25th.
