Volleyball Recap: Highland's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Highland waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Highland walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-20.

Luci Fuentes was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 assists and three aces.

Fuentes wasn't the only good servers: Highland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union Colony Prep only served five.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Union Colony Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Gilpin County on the 24th. As for Union Colony Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lyons on the 28th.
