Football Game Preview: Kenston Bombers vs. Canfield Cardinals

The Kenston Bombers are taking a road trip to face off against the Canfield Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenston will be strutting in after a victory while Canfield will be coming in after a defeat.

Kenston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Madison as they made off with a 34-8 win. That looming 34-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bombers yet this season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Kenston, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Will Hamm, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Canfield was just a hair shy of victory last Friday and fell 22-21 to Boardman. The loss was the Cardinals' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Canfield fell to 9-1. As for Kenston, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Kenston ended up a good deal behind Canfield when the teams last played back in October of 2020, losing 28-10. Can the Bombers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
