Volleyball Recap: Arvada West Wildcats vs. Verrado Vipers
Arvada West's tournament run continued when they took on Verrado on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Vipers by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Eloise Bearcomesout paced Arvada West's offense, picking up nine kills. Bearcomesout got some help from Alex Williams and her 24 assists. Bearcomesout was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Verrado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Bejarano, who had four digs and two aces.
Arvada West's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Verrado, their record now sits at 11-9.
Coming up, Arvada West will host Ralston Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Verrado, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against North Canyon on the 29th.
