Volleyball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hopewell

With a playoff win on the line, Bald Eagle Area rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hopewell Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four matches in a row.

Bald Eagle Area never let Hopewell on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 27-25, 25-21.

Leah Bryan paced Bald Eagle Area's offense, picking up 24 kills. Bryan got some help from Casey Angellotti and her 32 assists. Angellotti was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bald Eagle Area's victory bumped their record up to 27-7-2. As for Hopewell, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

As of now, neither Bald Eagle Area nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
