Basketball Recap: Oconto Falls Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clintonville last Tuesday, Oconto Falls came back down to earth. The Oconto Falls Panthers took a blow against the Little Chute Mustangs on Friday, falling 71-31. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Oconto Falls still got an impressive performance from Evan Yuma, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and eight boards. Croix Gardebrecht also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Oconto Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Little Chute, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oconto Falls has already played their next game (against Green Bay Preble), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Little Chute will be playing in front of their home fans against Clintonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
