Recap: Swallows Charter Academy Spartans vs. Cotopaxi Pirates
The Swallows Charter Academy Spartans lost against the Cotopaxi Pirates back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Swallows Charter Academy took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cotopaxi. Swallows Charter Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Garcia, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Breedlove, who scored 16 points.
Even though they lost, Swallows Charter Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Swallows Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cotopaxi, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Swallows Charter Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Peyton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cotopaxi, they will head out on the road to face off against Custer County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Custer County will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
