Volleyball Game Preview: Purvis Tornadoes vs. Sumrall Bobcats + How To Watch

The Purvis Tornadoes will head out to take on the Sumrall Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Purvis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on East Central with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tornadoes.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Purvis took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Sumrall made easy work of Vancleave on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sumrall was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-13.

Sumrall's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Purvis, their win bumped their record up to 32-6.

Purvis took their victory against Sumrall in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
