Volleyball Recap: Anchor Bay's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

It was a good run, but Anchor Bay unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss back in October.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Anchor Bay lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 27-25, 21-25, 26-24, 16-14.

L'Anse Creuse North can attribute much of their success to Kenidee Moore, who had 17 assists and seven digs.

Anchor Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 26-24-1. As for L'Anse Creuse North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-9.

Anchor Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for L'Anse Creuse North, they will challenge Dakota at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
