Baseball Game Preview: Brown County Eagles vs. Northview Knights

Brown County is 0-4 against Northview since May of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Knights at 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brown County's offense. They came up short against West Vigo on Tuesday, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly nine runs.

Barrett Lasley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Northview earned a 5-1 victory over South Putnam on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Northview, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Brown County suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Northview when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
