Lakeland Regional suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Lakeland Regional Lancers vs. Wayne Hills Patriots

The Lakeland Regional Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne Hills. While losing is never fun, Lakeland Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while Wayne Hills is ranked 93rd).

Despite the loss, Lakeland Regional still got an impressive performance from Tyler Lynn, who scored 11 points. Justin Meakem was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.

Lakeland Regional bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Wayne Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Lakeland Regional will play host again and welcome West Milford, where tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wayne Hills will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against NV - Old Tappan at 11:00 a.m. on January 13th.
