Baseball Game Preview: Crockett County Cavaliers vs. South Gibson Hornets

For the second straight game, Crockett County will face off against South Gibson. The Cavaliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crockett County has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while South Gibson will come in with 11 straight wins.

Crockett County lost 9-1 to South Gibson on Monday.

For South Gibson's part, Gage Allen was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Allen has posted since back in March.

Allen wasn't the only one making solid contact: South Gibson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.

South Gibson's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Crockett County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
