Basketball Game Preview: Fallbrook Warriors vs. St. Joseph Academy Crusaders

The Fallbrook Warriors will take on the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

St. Joseph Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Fallbrook's game last Thursday is any indication, that's when Fallbrook really gets things going. Everything went the Warriors' way against Calvin Christian as they made off with a 76-53 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won three in a row.

Fallbrook had a senior duo take command as Petey Pizzo dropped a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds and Elliott Watkins posted 28 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Haiden Rabbetts, who scored six points.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against El Capitan by a score of 63-54 on Saturday.

Fallbrook beat St. Joseph Academy 62-52 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crusaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
