Volleyball Game Preview: Corona del Sol Aztecs vs. Xavier College Prep Gators + How To Watch

The Corona del Sol Aztecs are taking a road trip to take on the Xavier College Prep Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Corona del Sol is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Millennium, who was ranked tenth at the time (Corona del Sol was ranked second). The Aztecs blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Thursday. The Aztecs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 1st (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Xavier College Prep had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vikings.

Xavier College Prep never let Sunnyslope on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-23.

Corona del Sol better focus on containing Mattea Saunders and Selah O'Connor as the pair were huge in Xavier College Prep's win. Saunders had 15 digs and two aces, while O'Connor had 16 assists.

Corona del Sol's record now sits at 30-5. As for Xavier College Prep, their record is now 29-2.

Corona del Sol suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Xavier College Prep in their previous meeting last Thursday. Can the Aztecs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
