Volleyball Game Preview: Abingdon Falcons vs. Christiansburg Blue Demons

The Abingdon Falcons will head out to face off against the Christiansburg Blue Demons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Abingdon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Kettle Run as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Abingdon was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Christiansburg faced New Kent in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Blue Demons blew past the Trojans 3-0.

Christiansburg walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-16.

Christiansburg's victory bumped their record up to 28-0. As for Abingdon, their win bumped their record up to 28-3.

Abingdon came up short against Christiansburg when the teams last played last Tuesday, falling 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
