Ennis will take on Kaufman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ennis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Ennis took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over Corsicana. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Breona Benavidez made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Aurelia Vaughan and Ashlynn Wright did most of the damage at the plate: Vaughan got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Wright went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Wright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Serennia Terrell, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Kaufman was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Midlothian Heritage, falling 22-1. The Lions have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Kaufman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydee Gamez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Ennis pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Kaufman, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Ennis hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Kaufman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Ennis got the 'W' in their previous meeting on March 3rd against Kaufman by a conclusive 18-0 score. Does Ennis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kaufman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
