It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Logan-Rogersville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Monett Cubs. Logan-Rogersville haven't had any issues with Monett recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Logan-Rogersville's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Monett, with the defeat, they broke their nine-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Logan-Rogersville will challenge rival Bolivar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monett is set to square off against their familiar foe Springfield Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
