Basketball Game Preview: East Rutherford Cavaliers vs. Blacksburg Wildcats

The East Rutherford Cavaliers will take on the Blacksburg Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

East Rutherford is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against McDowell on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cavaliers took a blow against the Titans, falling 69-25. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Blacksburg suffered their closest loss since January 10th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Spartanburg by a score of 58-55.

Blacksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Rutherford, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for East Rutherford against Blacksburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 62-15 win. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
