Baseball Recap: Bishop Alemany's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bishop Alemany had lost six games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 10-16 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Chaminade Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Eagles on Wednesday, they had to take a 11-9 defeat.

Franky Maga?a looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Joey Decker was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Bishop Alemany hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

As for Chaminade, they moved to 11-15 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Chaminade's side, Chase Renzo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Isaiah Hearn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
