Volleyball Recap: Winona's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Winona can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bismarck Indians by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Taylor Williams paced Winona's offense, picking up 18 kills. Williams got some help from Lexi Lindsey and her 40 assists. Finally, Williams was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Bismarck found their leader in sophomore Grace Randazzo, who had 14 digs.

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 37-5. As for Bismarck, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Winona nor Bismarck have any future games scheduled.
