Basketball Recap: Altoona-Midway Gets the Win

If Southern Coffey County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Altoona-Midway, they should've done a better job of containing William Stackhouse. The Altoona-Midway Jets took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging an 85-19 victory over the Southern Coffey County Titans thanks in part to Stackhouse, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 14 boards, and 12 steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 25 games he's played dating back to last season.

Joey Lamendola was another key player, going 7 for 16 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The win got Altoona-Midway back to even at 2-2. As for Southern Coffey County, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Altoona-Midway will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Flinthills at 7:00 p.m. Altoona-Midway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Southern Coffey County, they will head out to square off against Oswego at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
