Volleyball Recap: Hillsboro Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Hillsboro came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the East St. Louis Flyers by a score of 2-0. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Flyers, too.

While Hillsboro might've won, it sure wasn't easy: East St. Louis scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Jersey Robinson paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up seven kills. Robinson got some help from Ava Campbell and her 11 assists. Robinson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 11-2-4. As for East St. Louis, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hillsboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Centralia on the 20th. As for East St. Louis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edwardsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
