Basketball Recap: Hawaii Baptist Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Hanalani

On Saturday, Hawaii Baptist Academy faced Hanalani in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hawaii Baptist Academy Eagles were outmatched by the Hanalani Royals and fell 62-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since December 12, 2024.

It was another big night for Ellana Klemp, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 15 boards for Hanalani. Klemp's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Piha Akiona was another key player, going 5 of 7 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds.

Hawaii Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Hanalani, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-4.

As of now, neither Hawaii Baptist Academy nor Hanalani have any future games scheduled.
