Volleyball Game Preview: Onalaska Hilltoppers vs. Waunakee Warriors

The Onalaska Hilltoppers will square off against the Waunakee Warriors on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Onalaska is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Middleton 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Hilltoppers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

While Onalaska won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-23.

Waunakee not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against La Crosse Central as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Waunakee walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 25-18.

Waunakee's win bumped their record up to 38-8. As for Onalaska, their victory bumped their record up to 21-9.

Onalaska couldn't quite get it done against Waunakee in their previous matchup back in October of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Hilltoppers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
