Baseball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against American Heritage

Freedom Prep Academy had lost 22 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it 23. They came up short against the American Heritage Patriots, falling 26-15. On the bright side, the 15- run effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for American Heritage, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

For American Heritage's part, Jack Buer and Sam Tingey did most of the damage at the plate: Buer got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Tingey got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Buer a new career-high. Isaac Holmes also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
