Basketball Recap: Melbourne Comes Up Short

Melbourne lost against Bergman back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Melbourne Bearkatz fell just short of the Bergman Panthers by a score of 65-62.

Melbourne has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 2.33 points. As for Bergman, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 31-2.

Melbourne and Bergman should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. Melbourne (ranked 46th) will meet Buffalo Island Central (ranked 242nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bergman will take on Rose Bud at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 194 places (20 vs. 214).
