Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt extended their losing streak to 12 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-22. They came up short against the Lincoln Patriots, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The game was the first time they have beaten Roosevelt on their court since September 1, 2022.

Lincoln had a senior duo take command as Julia Blom had 13 digs and four assists and Hayden Kok had nine digs and two aces. Blom has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Roosevelt and Aberdeen Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Rapid City Central at 6:30 p.m. on November 7.
