Baseball Recap: Platteview Find Success

Platteview won against Wahoo/Bishop Neumann on Monday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Blair Bears 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Tucker Riha spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Platteview is 4-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Platteview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Platteview back to even at 11-11. As for Blair, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Platteview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Platte Valley on the 8th. Blair does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
