Volleyball Recap: Lockport Comes Up Short

Lockport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Brother Rice Crusaders. The Porters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Adam Gieser paced Lockport's offense, picking up six kills. Gieser got some help from Ryan Dziadkowiec and his 12 assists.

Ryne Collins was the offensive standout of the match as he had seven digs and one assist.

Lockport's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Brother Rice, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Lockport has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Downers Grove South on the 2nd. As for Brother Rice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Lincoln-Way Central on the 3rd.
