Softball Recap: Eldorado Sundevils vs. Las Vegas Wildcats

Eldorado had lost six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-12 to make it seven. They came up short against the Las Vegas Wildcats, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 back in March.

As for Las Vegas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Las Vegas' part, Nora Anaya and Alexia Chavez did most of the damage at the plate: Anaya got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Chavez went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance also gave Anaya a new career-high in hits (two). Paityn Lewis was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
