Montgomery Central took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-56 victory over the Stewart County Rebels. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Leading Montgomery Central to victory were Jshaun Ewing and Jonathan Johnson. Ewing shot 75% from the field en route to 17 points and seven boards, while Johnson went 5-for-10 on his way to 16 points. Nathan Johnson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

Coincidentally, Montgomery Central and Stewart County will both be playing Waverly Central the next time they take the court. The Rebels will head out to face the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
