Football Recap: St. Mary's Central Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Central was the 37-13 winner over Devils Lake when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints were dealt a 55-14 defeat at the hands of the Firebirds on Friday. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Devils Lake, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. St. Mary's Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Devils Lake will square off against rival Minot North on Friday.
