Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southside). They blew past the Carolina Academy Trojans, posting a 60-32 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted since January 5th.

When it comes to explaining why Carolina Academy lost on Friday, don't look at Trinity Mangle. Despite the final result, she posted six points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jynia Smith, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 18 points and three steals.

Southside's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Carolina Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Southside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-38 win against Berea on the 17th. As for Carolina Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-33 defeat against Greenville Tech Charter on the 16th.
