Basketball Recap: C.H. Friend Piles Up the Points Against Timberlake Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Virginia Episcopal School, C.H. Friend was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes to the tune of 69-15. This was payback for the Red Jackets, who suffered a 55-31 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead C.H. Friend to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacari Coles, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Coles is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziyad Holt, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 17 points and eight assists.

C.H. Friend's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, C.H. Friend will square off against Hargrave Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Timberlake Christian, they will host Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
