Graceville has gone 8-2 against Freeport recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Graceville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zaria Nedd, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. Those eight assists gave Nedd a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Wilson, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 15 points.
Graceville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Freeport lost to Blountstown on the road by a 51-34 margin on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Graceville will have to keep a close watch on Olyvia Snodgrass and Jasmine Miles, a pair of players who had a big impact on Freeport's prior game. Snodgrass posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals, while Miles put up nine points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Ludwig, who had seven points.
Graceville's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Freeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Graceville has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Freeport struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Graceville skirted past Freeport 48-46 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Miles, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Graceville still be able to contain Miles? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
