Volleyball Recap: Unioto Shermans vs. Southeastern Panthers

Unioto won the last time they faced Southeastern and Alyssa Stanley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Shermans walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers on Thursday with plenty of help from Stanley, who had 29 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Unioto had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-18, 25-19, 25-22.

Unioto got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ellie Depoy out in front who had 21 digs and three aces. Those 21 digs gave Depoy a new career-high. Kori Grubbs also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
