Baseball Recap: Colbert Heights Takes a Loss

Clements hit Colbert Heights with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Colbert Heights and nudges their season record down to 11-18. As for Clements, their win bumped their record up to 15-16.

Coming up, Colbert Heights will venture away from home to face off against East Lawrence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.3 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clements, they will face off against Elkmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
