Volleyball Game Preview: Cambridge N/A vs. Hoosic Valley Hawks

Cambridge hasn't had much luck against Hoosic Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The N/A will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 4:15 p.m.

Cambridge came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Stillwater, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Hoosic Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Canajoharie/Fort Plain on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

Hoosic Valley walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-17, 22-25, 25-18, 25-15.

Cambridge better keep an eye on Hannah Reidy. She was instrumental in Hoosic Valley's win, getting 28 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Reidy a new career-high in kills (two). Madison Davis was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Hoosic Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matches.

Hoosic Valley's win bumped their record up to 15-7-2. As for Cambridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
