Softball Recap: Indian Creek Braves vs. Owen Valley Patriots

Even though they lost, Indian Creek hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Owen Valley struck out six times.
On Owen Valley's side, Haley Amador looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.
At the plate, Taylor Monroe was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalyn Greene, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Owen Valley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Indian Creek is on the road again on Thursday to play Shelbyville at 5:30 p.m. Shelbyville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Indian Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
