Basketball Recap: Campbell County Comes Up Short

Campbell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 78-60 bruising from the Century Patriots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (57), the Camels still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Campbell County lost, don't look at Mason Drube. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 6 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Hladky, who posted 12 points and five assists.

Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Century, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Campbell County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-66 victory against Pine Ridge on the 14th. As for Century, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-33 win against Thunder Basin on the 14th.
