Baseball Recap: West Marshall Takes a Loss

If West Marshall was riding high fresh off their 17-7 takedown of Greene County on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 8-3 to the Nevada Cubs on Monday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2025.

West Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Nevada, they moved to 7-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Marshall beat the Cubs by a score of 11-4 later that day.
