Baseball Recap: Webbers Falls Comes Up Short

Webbers Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weleetka Outlaws. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 14-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Webbers Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Weleetka, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Webbers Falls has already played their next game, a 16-12 victory against Braggs on the 1st. As for Weleetka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kellyville at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ponies' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Outlaws' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
