Volleyball Recap: Ellet Comes Up Short

Ellet came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lakeside Dragons, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.

Peyton Carpenter paced Ellet's offense, picking up five kills. Carpenter got some help from Riley Kearns and her eight assists. Carpenter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ha'Niya Carpenter, each putting up two.

Ellet's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Lakeside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Ellet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside, they will venture away from home to square off against Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
